Happy Birthday to all the Fabulous February babies out there! Those of you blessed to be born in this shortest month can lay claim to the gorgeous, royal purple amethyst as your birthstone. Amethyst is said by some to promote clear-headedness and cleverness. It also symbolizes sincerity and wisdom.
Some fun facts about February:
Historically, mid-February was the time for Februa, a Roman purification ritual very similar to today's practice of spring cleaning.
In Old English, February was known as Solmonath, meaning "mud month," and in Poland it is known as luty, meaning the month of hard ice or frost.
If you were born on February 18th or before, your zodiac sign is Aquarius, and you are likely to be inventive, clever, and original. If you were born in February but after the 18th, you are a Pisces, and are probably dreamy, emotional, and sometimes over-sensitive.
To all who happen upon this post, may you enjoy your special February day and my wish for you is that all the days of February be filled with happiness, peace and joy!
